Location

Cyffredin Cottages are located within easy travelling distance of the historic town of Conwy, famous for its Castle and Bridges. The town has a railway station a mile away from the cottages. Liverpool and Manchester Airport are just over an hour's drive westward along the A55, while Holyhead sea port is an hour's drive eastward along the A55.

Conwy is a medieval walled town and Castle with a picturesque harbour overlooking the estuary of the River Conwy. The magnificent medieval castle and town walls are a World Heritage Site. The town has many quality shops, banks, a medical centre, library and several places of historic interest, such as Thomas Telford's Conwy suspension bridge, and the Smallest House in Britain. Social and recreational facilities in the town include an 18-hole golf course and a yachting marina.

Also nearby are the tourist towns of Llandudno and Colwyn Bay, and Deganwy Quay with a luxury restaurant and spa.

Directions to Cyffredin Cottages

  • From the Conwy bridge:
  • Turn left at the roundabout after the Castle, onto the road signposted B5106
  • Follow this road for approximately one-third of a mile, until you reach the village of Gyffin
  • At the crossroads in the centre, go straight ahead taking the lane alongside the hairdressing salon
  • Follow this road until you pass Cyffredin Farm, a white-painted property on the immediate right-hand side
  • After a further 50 yards, take the right-hand turn
  • Cyffredin Cottage is the second property on the right hand side.
